If you find that Transmit 4 is incompatible with your OS, the best option would be to switch to a different FTP client, be it one of the many free ones out there, or optionally upgrading to Transmit 5. Transmit 4 had a nice, long, seven year run but it was time to lay it to rest in favor of developing the next evolution, Transmit 5. There are many updates & help for Pro TOols version 8.x, but I can't find anyting for version 7. I have tried running in compatibility mode for XP sp3, but its gets part way through the installation and just hangs.

I do not want to upgrade how can I prevent this forced up grade to not happen. Avid has announced that they have certified Pro Tools 12 version 12.6 and above as compatible with macOS 10.12.0 (Sierra).
